Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains how SnapSuited uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website. We aim to be transparent about what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (stored for a defined period or until you delete them). They can be set by us ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services we use ("third-party cookies").

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

SnapSuited uses two categories of cookies in Phase 0 of the Service:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website and Service to function correctly. These cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with the website so we can improve the user experience. These are activated only with your consent.

3. Essential Cookies (Always Active)

Essential cookies are strictly necessary to provide the Service. They do not require your consent under applicable law, as they are required for the website to function.

  • Authentication session cookie — keeps you securely signed in to your account during your visit. Duration: session (deleted on browser close).
  • CSRF protection token — protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery attacks. Duration: session.
  • Cart and checkout state — temporarily stores your selected plan during the checkout process. Duration: session or up to 1 hour.
  • Cookie consent preference — stores your cookie consent decision so we do not re-ask on every page visit. Duration: 12 months.

4. Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) via Google Tag Manager to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our website. This helps us understand which pages are most useful, how traffic arrives, and how we can improve the user experience.

GA4 is configured with IP anonymisation enabled. We do not pass any personally identifiable information (PII) to Google Analytics. Data collected includes pages visited, time on site, device type, and browser.

  • _ga — Google Analytics client ID to distinguish unique visitors. Duration: 2 years.
  • _ga_[ID] — GA4 session state. Duration: 2 years.
  • _gid — distinguishes users within a 24-hour period. Duration: 24 hours.
  • Google Tag Manager container — loads the GTM script; does not itself set a cookie but manages which analytics tags fire.

5. Third-Party Cookies (Stripe Checkout)

When you proceed to payment, our checkout is powered by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's checkout interface may set its own cookies for fraud prevention, session management, and payment processing. These cookies are governed by Stripe's own Cookie Policy at stripe.com/cookie-settings.

We do not control Stripe's cookies, but Stripe is contractually bound to use them solely for payment-related purposes.

6. How to Control Cookies

You may manage your cookie preferences at any time using the following methods:

  • Cookie consent banner — when you first visit SnapSuited, a consent banner allows you to accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.
  • Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their privacy or security settings. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note: blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing a purchase.
  • Google Analytics opt-out — you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. Where technically feasible, we honour DNT signals by not activating analytics tracking for users who have enabled DNT in their browser. Essential cookies remain active regardless of DNT signals, as they are required for service delivery.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features that require additional cookies or when regulations change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
